Amazon internet services private limited (aispl), an indian amazon affiliate, is looking for a talented, innovative, and experienced pr professional to design and execute public sector communications strategies that help set the digital agenda among governments, healthcare, nonprofit, and education organizations, as well as policymakers and industry influencersThe purpose of this role is to drive awareness around the positive work aws does in supporting its public sector customers and the resulting impact aws is having on the indian economy, citizens, and society.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of building effective proactive campaigns across multiple communications channels, as well as developing compelling content from scratch to educate key opinion leaders and influencers across the technology industryThey will collaborate closely with local aws public policy, sales, marketing, and global pr teams to develop integrated communications plans for earned and owned content, develop new processes and best practices, and provide strategic communications counsel to senior stakeholders.
Excellent writing skills are imperative for this roleThey must be able to create concise and well-written narratives to express their opinions and ideas, and be able to invent creative and effective approaches to difficult communications challengesThe successful candidate will also have strong project management skills and excellent stakeholder management experience to execute and bring their programs to life.
Charismatic and a natural relationship builder, they will have excellent media relations and the natural ability to tell impactful storiesThis role will be a part of the local public sector leadership team, taking their vision and delivering it via communications channels across indiaThe successful candidate will be passionate about why technology is a force for creating positive social change and be prepared to roll up their sleeves and get work done, even when at times it sits outside the scope of the role’s direct remit.
This role is based in gurgaon or bangalore, india and will require domestic and international travel.
Key job responsibilities

Develop and execute effective communications strategies for aws public sector in india through a sustained and strategic program that supports local business growth
Create compelling content with customers and partners to generate powerful stories about the transformational impact of cloud technology
Establish and foster local and national media relationships by serving as a trusted source of information about aws
Provide communications counsel to business leaders on challenges and opportunities and by representing pr on the indian public sector leadership team
Devise and implement communications goals, strategies, and tactical pr campaigns across india
Write and edit press releases, pitches, pr plans, and related communications materials
Effectively manage pr agencies
Play an active role in delivering global and regional pr campaigns
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills, while also staying on top of tactical execution
Comfortable working on their own to deliver high quality results
Exhibits excellent business judgment
Ensures integrated communications approach, considering all audiences and communications channels
