About Cloud and Network Services (CNS )
Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Mobility managed services Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. This business group includes Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services. This R&D engineer position is to develop the Nokia DAC public cloud & edge cloud platform architecture forward as member of the architecture & technology team. This position offers great opportunity to learn and work with latest cloud technologies in a global team to build networks that go allwhere.

The DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer is part of a team building Public Cloud infrastructure and tools for exciting new technologies that will shape the enterprise/private networks. Tools are built for enhancing developer workflows, and automation pipelines for product development. Engineers will work in a startup-like environment where products are still being defined and developed with involvement in every stage of development from concept to deployment.
Quick learning and trying new ideas are highly appreciated. Exact qualifications may vary depending on the focus.
Your skills and experience
You have:
Experience in Linux System Administration.
Experience in managing / configuring VM instances either with Linux KVM, VMware, OpenStack or cloud based instances.
Experience in developing in containers, using K8S clusters, and CI/CD environments
Experience in working on CICD tools like Jenkins, Sonarqube
Expertise in any one of the programming/Scripting languages Python, Java, Go or Shell.
Experience with Docker and Container Orchestration Tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with managing source code repositories, including branching and merging of code lines (Git, Gitlab)
Knowledge on monitoring tools.
Experience in EFK/ELK.
Traits: Ability to challenge status quo, Willing to work Collaboratively for Team success, Be Self-motivated with drive and ownership, have a Continuous learning mindset with a Result oriented “can do” attitude
It would be nice if you also had:
Masters degree (with 0-3 years experience) or bachelor’s (with 0-5 years experience) in computer science, telecommunications, cloud, engineering, or other relevant fields.
Good communication skills
Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP
Generic understanding from AWS, Azure, GCP managed services (S3, IAM, K8s, EC2, Load balancers, serverless compute, DBs)
Operational experience in running cloud-based workloads
