The team youll be part of
Required Software Engineer for Digital Business, NCC R&D team (Online Charging) Gurgaon.
He / She will be a part of R&D scrum team responsible to develop features on the Nokia Converged Charging product (NCC).

Key Responsibilities :
Understand and refine customer or internal product features requirements
Come up with design alternatives that ensures complete requirement coverage.
Take care of functional and non-functional requirement aspects, even when non-functional requirements are not explicitly stated.
Work within the agile development sprint team to
complete tasks to plan work, design, code, and unit-test.
automate Junits and ensure appropriate code coverage.
analyse and fix bugs reported during functional, non-functional and integration phases.
support deployment and testing activities.
Interact closely with developers from other teams to provide comprehensive integrated solutions.
Analyse, debug and fix bugs reported from customer labs and production systems, including providing RCA and corrective actions.
Suggest and develop new tools and techniques required to improve development and testing efficiency.
Review and recommend improvements to development and testing processes.
Reply to customer queries and assist services team when required.
Ability to work independently when required along with reporting accurate and timely status reports.
Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with ability to multi-task under pressure.
Your skills and experience
Computer Science or Engineering Degree – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Telecom/Computers/IT) or MCA with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
Strong Java skills, preferable with J2EE application server environment
Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML)
Data Structures and Algorithms
Knowledge of Java Design patterns and Java Frameworks.
Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques
Ability to Design and code for scalability
Good hands-on with Linux OS-based systems
Strong debugging skills on IDE like Eclipse or IntelliJ
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Charging concepts and development experience: LTE, 3GPP architecture, Real time charging systems, 5G and IOT use cases
Prior work experience on SPS, SurePay, NOKIA 5780 DSC and/or any competitive Charging product
DB experience – preferably NoSQL based DB
Experience with Diameter/4G interfaces (mainly base protocol, Gy, Sy, and Ro interfaces)
Knowledge of 5G interfaces (mainly NCHF – N40, N28)
Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTP2, HTTPS
Multi-tiered/Full-stack application development experience: OS, Platform, Front end, Back end, DB, Network
Experience in Agile/scaled Agile scrum teams
Scripting (bash, Python)
Knowledge of Maven, Ant or Gradle Scripts
Version Management and Collaboration tools like Git, Gerrit, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
Experience and knowledge of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
Experience with automation frameworks like Robot.
Exposure to Microservices, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes and related areas.
