Focus:
Contributes to design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying, and documenting software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications.
Organizational Context:
Entry-level hire, member of a product engineering or delivery and integration team reporting to a Senior Engineer, Engineering Director or Director Product Delivery & Integration.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Beginner level ability in software development, such coding assignments
Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)

Cloud Senior Developer – Java/Golang

You will contribute to a rock star start-up engineering team which will deliver the next generation auto-scaled, Highly Available, hybrid cloud enterprise application platform (Iaas/PaaS/xPaas/CICD) for the mission critical American Express Delivery Transformation initiative.
The platform will deliver a framework to support multiple programming languages i.e Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby/Rails, Scala and Fuse for enterprise and consumer mobile & web application developers. You will create innovative tools and capabilities to enable continuous delivery – building, provisioning, and administering multi-tenant, scale-out applications throughout the life cycle, from development, test and into production. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proofs of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the development of automations portals and backend components and supporting technology
Leads the design, build, enhancement, and integration of infrastructure with AET
Plays an integral role in building and enhancing infrastructure in terms of robustness, scalability, availability, and efficiency
Leadership accountable for team completing assigned tasks and delivery of quality work
Qualifications
Education & Technology core competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Overall 6 years of industry experience with 4-5 Years of relevant Java /J2EE /Golang. development experience
Experience in cloud-based deployments on both container and virtual environments
Experience with front end-based technologies like react etc
Extensive Experience with build and CICD tools and pipelines like Jenkins, Maven, git etc
Well versed with microservices architecture
Comfortable with various design patterns and web based technologies /restful APIs
2 years of Unix/Linux system administration experience preferred
Relevant 2 years’ Experience in full stack development and related technologies like integration with Kafka, Redis, Databases (postgres, couchbase)
Extensive experience in system performance monitoring by using system tools, security setup, troubleshooting and performance tuning as necessary to ensure optimum performance
Eager to learn new technologies in short time span.
Experience in automation to increase efficiency.
Well versed with collaboration tools like Jira and agile methodologies and can work in multi developer team
Other skills
Proven diagnostic, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and English communication skills with difficult customers in outage situations.
Metrics management
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
