Job Purpose and Impact
The Director – Trade Applications is accountable for delivering trading solutions across Cargill’s trading activities in APAC region. This role will lead and provide direction to managers, professionals and indirect staff that will analyze business problems to be solved with automated systems in the trading and risk management domain. In this role, you will lead, advise and make decisions to help the team provide technical expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
The position requires a strong leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the Global IT Function, Business Units/Corporate Functions, internal partners, and third-party partners. The position will require strong expertise in the trading domain, project delivery and support management. This position will report into the APAC Delivery Leader and have close alignment with the Global Trading Portfolio Lead for architecture alignment, PDT (People, Data and Technology) strategy alignment and governance.
Additionally, this position is a member of the Global IT regional leadership team, and as such, provides input to the strategies for the delivery of regional applications.
Key Accountabilities
Provide leadership, commodity trading and risk management experience and industry expertise to create, develop, and implement the strategy for the regional Trade applications portfolio to enable business strategies.
Develop, lead, and govern regional Trading Applications investments and budgets in alignment with Global IT portfolio strategy.
Integrate more complex process areas, including data, education and security across a moderate subset of the organization.
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of ten years of related work experience, five years of leading medium to large teams and programs.
Strong commodity trading and risk management knowledge including trade application implementation experience
Experience managing a budget of $15M + Business fluency
IT strategic planning, roadmaps, and execution experience
