JOB SUMMARY
Serves as a Scrum Expert providing coaching and oversight to multiple Scrum teams. Assesses progress, identifies issues, organizes coaching sessions, and provides recommendations, as necessary. As needed, this non-practitioner role actively works within teams to correct significant issues with Agile execution. Utilizes Agile/Scrum best practices, standards, and guidelines. Utilizes a highly-proficient blend of people skills, methodology and process knowledge, and technical understanding to influence teams in support of their working objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates the efforts of multiple Scrum teams and the broader organization to effectively employ Agile/Scrum practices in order to increase customer satisfaction and maximize product delivery and value. Works as an advisor, coaching the team on how to adapt their methodology to the environment.
Acts as an effective change agent, improving scrum practices and delivering higher quality, higher value software more efficiently. Identifies people and process issues and actively contributes to the creation and execution of new solutions.
Trains and coaches all scrum team members, clarifying roles and responsibilities and offering motivation and support, as necessary.
Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the teams and organization, and coaches the team(s) to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
Helps set up the Agile COE within the CBRE organization with Agile best practices. Stays well-informed with best practices and helps with their implementation at CBRE.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May have formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides assistance such as technical guidance, code review, and/or training to coworkers. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a project.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically possesses 7+ years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Develops, manages, and maintains product financial tracking and reporting systems and output.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Relational database query design, development, and performance tuning experience is required.
Experience with web mapping tools and spatial databases is a big plus.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of technical best practices, and general understanding of procedures and company policies, to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause moderate impact to co-workers and supervisor, severe damage to a client engagement, or unacceptable downtime for company systems.
