• Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
• Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures.
• Updating daily transaction records and assisting with payroll administration.
• Managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
• Keeping records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
• Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
• Identifying financial liabilities and performing risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
• Resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations.
• Preparing financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.

• Ensures timely processing of both electronic and check payments
• Investigates and resolves payment issues for non-receipt or lost checks
• Investigates and reconciles transactional inquiries
• Manages cash account balances
• Creates month end reports for internal and external client reporting needs
• Account reconciliations
• Liaise with payment vendors related to setup, billing, inquires and process improvement
• Assist with payee bank account setup and validation in multiple countries and currencies

• Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”)
• Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards

• Working with internal staff to resolve issues
• Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
• Helping others to achieve results
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

• 1 – 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems and controls
• Experience with account reconciliations
• Knowledge of accounting and/or financial management or implementation of a financial system
• Ability to clearly communicate with operations and clients accounting / finance personnel
• Clinical trial/research, ERP system exposure, knowledge or background is highly desirable
• Strong Excel skills.
• SQL and Access experience a plus
