In this role
The Sr. Technical Writer is a completely Hands-on person & provides support in creating and editing Client-Centric documentation. The employee is a member of the Tech Documentation team and reports directly to the Documentation Head/ Sr Outbound Product Manager.
In this role, you’ll work directly with development teams in a cross-functional, distributed environment. You’ll need a technical background that enables you to work effectively with software development engineers, product managers, and integration managers. In addition, you’ll need excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical publications under deadlines driven by customer needs.
Create and maintain Technical & Marketing documentation for internal or external audiences.
Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering to keep the documentation up-to-date and accurate.
Supplement developer documentation with relevant sample code where necessary.
Edit, Modify, and Proofread documents written by others.
Ensure timely delivery of documents to align with release timelines.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
Follow style guides and writing standards to deliver high-quality content for customers.
Develop and maintain, Technical Feature Documents, User Manuals, Online Help, Context-Sensitive Help, Troubleshooting Guides, FAQs, Knowledge Base etc.
Knowledge of various tools related to online publishing- Confluence, Wiki, GitHub.
You’ve got what it takes if you have…
7-8 years as a technical writer in a relevant field.
Experience designing and delivering developer documentation.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing.
An extra dose of awesome if you have.
Experience with HTML and CSS.
Experience in a UNIX & LMS environment.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
