Work you’ll do
As a part of your role, you will be managing:
Primarily
Preparing and recording of payroll entries for both regular payroll and full and final settlement in sap s/4 hana.
Preparing amortization and accruals on a periodic basis.
Operate monthly accounting closure activities for payroll and benefits in sap ledgers, including reconciling and balancing of payroll accounts in sap ledgers.
Assisting the internal stakeholders in audit / tax compliance and financial reporting.
Analyze payroll transactions for appropriate classification and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards and deloitte accounting policy.
Should be a great team player, brainstorm common issues within the team and able to suggest resolution plan.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for smooth settlement of death claims settlements as applicable to the employees as per firm policies.
Ensuring of keeping and compliance with all current payroll policies, creating process documents and procedures to ensure each process in accounting and compliance is documented.
Assist with continuous improvement in payroll accounting process.
Responsible for timely remittances and filing of returns of all government statutory requirements such as epf, pt, tds, lwf, esic.
Independently able to handle employee queries on income tax, epf, pt, esic, lwf and any other applicable statutory compliances.
Maintenance and updating records of government statutory reports and handling notices issued by statutory authorities.
Preparation of reports requested by management and other stakeholders.
Responsible for handling emails received from active/separated employees and internal/external stakeholders on activities mentioned above.
Interacting and coordinating with stakeholders to have processes running smoothly
Stay updated about the latest amendments in taxation, provident fund, payroll related guidelines/ circulars issued by the governing authorities.
Secondarily
Handle the end-to-end payroll processing activities following the specific instructions, guidelines and set procedures.
Coordinating with all stake holders for obtaining timely and accurate payroll inputs
Collating, validating, and processing payroll inputs for all employees timely and accurately
Computing full and final settlements of separated employees with stringent deadlines.
Coordinating and processing all onboarding components for new employees in payroll, similarly, processing all final settlement components in payroll for separating employees.
Coordinating and processing all separations, salary continuations, transfers process payroll/personnel data changes, withholding tax compliance, social security direct deposits, salary changes, sign on bonuses, employee loans and reimbursement
Fielding various payroll inquiries from employees and other stakeholders to understand basic payroll transactions and terminology for our organization.
Liaise and coordinate with the hr, other colleagues in the general ledger accounting and ftp / payroll team on the scheduled payroll related activities.
Flag off exceptions observed in the payroll inputs and ensure the same is considered in line with firm policies and guidelines.
Preparing periodic reporting for leadership and other stake holders
Administering meal voucher benefits for all employees
To be well versed with latest payroll related guidelines.
Act as one point of contact for all payroll related queries
Ensure strict compliance to pii guidelines
Role description: key role in daily operations of the team.
Assist in managing the pps (payroll & personnel solutions) india team including resource management, employee relations/issues, evaluations, goal setting, pip’s, and service level agreements.
Work closely with pps leaders to ensure efficient and effective handling of all employee transactions and processes handled by the pps india team.
Oversight responsibility for group email boxes used for submission of work and issues.
Suggest methods to update, simplify and enhance processes, procedures, and technology.
Maintain expertise in sap hr and workflow tools.
Lead and collaborate with others on special projects.
Be the first point of contact for the process, people and technology issues.
Audit and approve the reconciliations performed by analyst/senior analysts.
Ensure successful period/quarter/year close by coordinating with us india team.
Qualification & experience: graduate/postgraduate with relevant experience of 8 -13 years span of control/reporting to: 4-7 employees/manager
Key skills/certifications:
Be hands-on with customer service background of us/usi companies.
Familiarity with data entry (us/india – as per the process needs) for hr and/or payroll processes.
Familiarity with sap/hr for database entry of hr and payroll information.
Advanced knowledge of u.s./india payroll processes and u.s./india taxes and other compliances.
Advance knowledge of workflow tools.
Sme on the us/india compliances as required.
Strong proficiency in microsoft office required.
Advanced knowledge of accounting procedures/principles
Hands on experience in gl reconciliations and journal entries
Independent decision making.
Team leading capabilities.
Sound problem solving, organizing, interpersonal and project management skills.
Excellent oral, written communication and documentation skills.
Good presentation and reporting skills.
Typing speed of 35 words per minute with 5% or less errors.
