BASIC FUNCTION
A solution(s) architect is a technical leader with a deep understanding of business goals, business processes and solutions architecture who designs and supports the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural standards.
Macro-level expectation:
Propose architecture solutions based on business and technology considerations
Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development
Act as a bridge between technical and business audiences during solution development
Escalation point for the Operations team, joining the team to resolve complex operational issues
Maintains close, daily interactions with the Operations team and has depth of knowledge for the Oracle environments supported by the OTS Oracle Apps DBA team supporting COMRES
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing leadership for the Operations team during high priority issue resolution efforts
Lead evaluation, design, and analysis of enterprise-wide solutions.
Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
Propose solution recommendations and alternatives to satisfy customer needs.
Provide upskilling opportunities for the Operations team and provided technical direction for the COMRES Oracle Apps DBAs that this position works with.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, applications, and infrastructure teams to produce optimal designs.
Produce strategic roadmaps and system documentation which position the business to exceed expectations.
Ensure compliance of solutions to architectural standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings.
Support the Operations team during major maintenance activities
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience required.
Fluent in English, additional languages a plus.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 14 years of experience within Oracle EBS
Experience architecting large Oracle EBS instances that have a minimum of 4 RAC DB nodes
Experienced working with global teams and providing technical leadership in virtual teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical related subjects to all audiences, from the user to the executive level.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.
Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Experience creating architecture drawings and delivering presentations to senior-level Management
Good understanding of agile principles and development methodologies.
