Steam Turbine Job Description :
Design and Application Engineering for Steam Turbine Governor /Boiler / BOP/Hydro controls for DCS / PLC retrofit & greenfield projects
Accomplishing Process Testing of for Steam Turbine Governor /Boiler / BOP controls through Tie-Back Simulation
Conducting customer FAT/SAT
Performing site commissioning including plant Start-Up
Primary Duties and Accountabilities:
• Site walk-downs for data collection
• Design and implementation of Boiler / BOP and/or Steam Turbine
• Process simulation & testing
• Pre-FAT, FAT & SAT
• Verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices
• I/O database partitioning for redundancy and fail-safe configurations
• Boiler / BOP/Steam Turbine commissioning & start-up
• Working with contractors / sub-contractors
• Nurturing smooth collaboration and communication with all stake holders
Required Skills:
B. Tech. / B.E. (ECE, I&C, E&I)
Minimum 4 years of experience in Engineering/commissioning for Thermal/CCPP Power Projects.
Hands on with one or more DCS platforms (e.g. ABB Pro Control / Bailey INFI 90, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark VI,Rx3i, Invensys, Honeywell TDC3000, Max DNA, Metso DNA, Alstom Alspa320 etc.)
Excellent language and communication skills; both verbal and written
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and commissioning documents
Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from groups of managers, clients and customers
Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors
Ability to troubleshoot DCS/PLC control system
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
Ready to take travelling assignment
Added Advantage:
• Power project commissioning experience.
• Datalinks (Modbus RTU / TCP-IP, IEC, Profibus, OPC)
