Primary purpose
The editor will assist in raising the visibility of our work on india’s energy transition by having a keen eye for detail, strong editorial judgement, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to turn complex and technical language into engaging contentThe editor will have exceptional attention to detail and a drive to support the analysts, to deliver quality content within deadlinesA proactive approach and ‘can do’ attitude is vital to help increase the impact and timeliness of our work.

Headquartered in the united states, ieefa has a significant portion of staff located across the asia-pacific regionThe editor will report to the director of strategic communications, australia/south asia, working with our dynamic team of analysts based in india and the australia-based communications team.
Required skills and qualifications
5+ years’ experience working in an editing role
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, english, or related field
Exceptional copy editing and proofreading skills
The ability to edit reports about complex and technical subject matter so that they are understandable to a broad audience
Organised and able to manage time and priorities effectively across competing demands
The technical proficiency to work remotely while liaising with the ieefa analysts and the communications team using online file sharing and video conferencing platforms.
Advanced knowledge of microsoft officeExperience working in digital publishing suites is advantageous
Editorial experience in finance, energy or a related field or working for a non-profit organisation is favourable
