Responsibility
Reporting directly to the corporate tax hub india team lead with high degree of interaction with the corporate tax teams in the usa, emea and apac region, this role`s key responsibility is to assist the corporate tax teams members with respect to transfer pricing related mattersThe candidate will be responsible for:
Will lead the transfer pricing (tp) compliance and documentation vertical within the corporate tax hub india team
Work with/ under supervision of senior global/regional corporate tax team members for transfer pricing related matters businesses and entities
The role`s initial and immediate objective is to help in building out a centre of excellence for transfer pricing out of the hub in line with senior tax leadership mandateThe candidate will be primarily responsible to strategize and design the construct and lead the setting up of this buildout
Once the setup is up and running, the candidate will oversee the daily function of the domain and work closely with the relevant tax team members and other partners namely in finance, business management and operations teams on transfer pricing issues, assist senior team members in centralizing/standardizing the tp process across countries and regions
Stay updated on international tax technical developments – law, jurisprudence and practices and endeavour to keep the leadership team updated with relevant updates
Ensure seamless assistance to tax planning team with following transfer pricing activities:
Annual update and preparatory work connected with global line of business files (including functional interviews with business management teams and product controllers), master files, local files and country by country reports
Analytics and review of tax transfer pricing data (cbcr – country by country reporting), related party transaction flows; and
Initiatives related to review of intragroup/intercompany dealings
Assistance in transfer pricing tax audits
Assistance in advance pricing agreement (apa) discussions, reporting and submissions to tax authorities
Assistance in fatca / crs compliance, cbcr & master filing reporting for jpm india entities
The role will require to managing a team of energetic professionals and ensure the mandates are met timely and accurately as per the internal and external timeliness setIn the role as a team lead, the candidate would need to create opportunities for learning and growth for the team career development
Requirements
Ca or ca equivalent with experience of 10-12 years in corporate tax/mnc tax in industry or big four consulting firms
Strong technical skills with a strategic mind set is essentialThe candidate is expected to provide thought leadership to proactively suggest options and opportunities to meet the leadership vision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, self motivated
Work well individually and in a teamStrong team player, multi-tasker and able to work under pressure in a dynamic business environment with strong team leadership skills essential
