The role is responsible for smaller or less complex spend categories and develops and executes regional buying strategies at a regional level for a specific group of goods or services in the indirect buying area, in some cases cross segment (eg Petcare, Chocolate; Food, Wrigley, Drinks, …) He/she is a key contact for regional supplier relationships. The role ensures continuous and cost-effective supply in line with business specifications. He/she works collaboratively with a number of cross functional partners to develop and implement sourcing strategies and standards, and in order to embed the sourcing strategy, applying key commercial signature processes (e.g. responsible sourcing, supplier performance relationship management, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
1- Secures price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business.
2- Recommends and implements supply base strategy. Assesses and develops suppliers in order to meet business needs and opportunities.
3- Ensures effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implements corrective actions as appropriate
4- Establishes & maintains relationships with key stakeholders and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
5- Complies with policies, systems & controls. Communicates business risk & opportunity.
6-Provides market and financial insights and inputs to the internal financial planning and review processes
7- Implements best practice for areas of responsibility. Participates in team knowledge transfer
8-Provides input to and executes Regional & Global Category Sourcing strategies.
9- Participates in external forums and associations
10- Develops and executes sourcing strategies using the MSSM framework and the appropriate tools for the market category (routine, leverage, bottleneck, critical) in less complex categories or markets, with the support of the LM or a more senior colleague”
11- Applies a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, etc.) to select and allocate business to suppliers”
12- Implements and complies with standard processes and tools to ensure responsible, continuous and sustainable sourcing in line with commercial policies, systems and controls”
13- Works collaboratively with Regional stakeholders for this category and other cross functional partners to develop and implement global standards.”
14- Associate is responsible to ensure effective implementation of Mars QMP (Quality Management Process), Quality and Food Safety requirements including Personnel Hygiene and GMP stated by the Organization as applicable. Associate shall deliver through Respective Area/Process Standard Operating Procedures. Meet basic competency requirements mentioned in the job Role Skill Matrix to ensure Quality and Food Safety requirements are implemented to satisfactory level.
15- Overall responsibility to ensure the individual compliance to Mars Global/Asset conservation standards and other relevant local SES legislation. Responsible for implementing and maintaining all relevant SES Management systems in their respective work area. Responsible for understand risks and controls in their area, get appropriate training, report all incidents and ensure that SES objectives are captured as KRA’s in TMS
