The Data Protection and Threat Resistance team is responsible for safeguarding user data and ensuring the trustworthiness of Microsoft platforms. Our team’s work underpins the security of the Azure cloud and edge devices – over 1 billion Windows PCs, Xbox and Hololens among others. We produce cutting edge data protection and hardening features such as Bitlocker and HVCI. Our work gives customers confidence that their data in the cloud and on the edge is safe and their platforms are secure, even if targeted by sophisticated modern attackers.
Responsibilities
We are looking for candidates with strong software design and development skills to implement security services for the Azure platform. You will be working in a collaborative environment to build and deliver highly-available, distributed services end-to-end that integrate with core Azure components. This is a unique role that provides an opportunity to:
Design, implement and deploy services protecting core and edge Azure infrastructure
Collaborate with local and remote partners to drive technical strategy and create engineering plans
Work on cutting edge platform security technologies like Secure Boot, disk encryption, and code integrity
Work in an agile / Dev-Ops environment
Qualifications
Required qualifications
15+ years of experience in software designing and development in C#, Java, C++ or equivalent language
BS in computer science or related discipline
Strong coding, design, and architectural skills
Strong oral and written communication
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience in working on large scale distributed systems.
Prior experience working in a dev/ops environment
Prior experience in security
