Old Dominion University Hiring for Administrative Assistant to the Director Job at India Full Time
This position will serve to provide administrative support in the Director’s office of the Child Study Center, assisting in the day-to-day office tasks of the centers, providing customer service for children, families, visitors, practicum students and staff.
Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Some knowledge of basic bookkeeping and/or accounting practices and procedures. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Strong oral and written communication to include the demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated skill in the use of PC-related software to include Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to work independently. Demonstrated ability to maintain a record keeping system.
Special licenses, registration or certification
Required to have and maintain CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certificates or the ability to obtain these certifications within 30 days.

Knowledge Virginia Department of Social Services Child Care Licensing Standards. Knowledge of Child Care policies and procedures. Knowledge of ODU and state procurement and travel policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others. Associate’s Degree or higher. High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with some college coursework. Some experience in child care setting. Experience within a university setting.
Conditions of Employment
In accordance with Executive Directive #18 issued by Governor Ralph Northam effective September 1, 2021, all Old Dominion University employees who enter the workplace or work remotely must disclose their vaccine status to the designated university personnel. Annual Salary/Hourly Rate Salary range between $ – 25,506 – 27,225
