The individual will research, analyze, and shape strategic policy positions related to the it and tech industry as they relate to digital health care businessesThey will manage integrated advocacy planning, intelligence reports, collaborate with cross functional teams to maximize the impact of outreach effortsThe will engage with industry associations, consultants, analysts, think tanks and agencies as requiredEngagement with government and regulatory agencies may be required on an ad hoc basis.
This individual will work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues globally and in india and be comfortable in a `sleeves rolled up` roleThey will gather industry intelligence and inform company leaders about pending legislative and regulatory issues that could impact the company.
This position will report to the vice president and country leader of external affairs, india.
Primary responsibilities:
Research, analyze and build policy positions, presentations and articles
Review and amend policy drafts
Lead discussions with diverse global teams to identify relevant messages and policy positions
Partner and align with internal teams to ensure successful and relevant outcome-based programs
Understand and maintain a process that meets stakeholder needs and outcomes on the plan
Conduct impact analysis of policies and identify relevant areas for follow up
Identify and manage opportunities to deepen stakeholder and industry including sponsorships and speakerships
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment)The company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required qualifications:
5-7 years of experience with a degree in economics, legal, arts, political science or business
Experience in creating articles, reports, powerpoint presentations and excel files to further external affairs efforts
Ideally related to the it services industry, new tech, privacy, labour regulations, taxation and their intersection with health care
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and solve problems
Sound judgment, analytical and technical capabilities, strong conceptual and strategic thinking
Efficient project and time management and ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
Self-starter with good written, oral and visual skills and an interest to learn and build a career
Worked in a collaborative high-performance environment, such as consulting or legal firms, high performance government affairs teams, or within a government agency
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of colleagues and external partners
