Job Title : Senior Solaris System Administrator

Experience : 6 + Years

Location : Hyderabad, INDIA.

OSI Digital is looking for Senior Solaris Administrator who must have 6+ years of experience in Solaris OS, LDOMs, and Solaris/Veritas Cluster Services. On successful on boarding, the individual will advance to the level of Associate Systems Lead and Systems Lead as well as receive training covering numerous cloud technologies (AWS & AZURE).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot of Solaris Operating System-related issues, including SVM&Vxvm, User administration, address performance-related issues, zones, LDOMs and ZFS storage. Maintain Solaris Virtualization (Control and guest, Domains), and VCS/SUN Clustering at L3 level.

• Administer OS clusters, partitions, virtualization and storage, integration with operating systems.

• Handle cluster tasks related to VERITAS cluster – Monitor servers, start and Stop Cluster Services, move resource groups across the nodes, increase file system in cluster file system, synchronize cluster resources and cluster verification.

• Create shell scripts to automate system monitoring and maintenance activities.

• Lead problem determination on system errors or malfunctions and works with the application team/supplier to identify, diagnose and rectify the problem.

Required Skills

• Having 6+ years of hands-on experience in Solaris OS Administration.

• Hands-on experience in installation, migration, troubleshooting and managing Solaris various OS Versions

• Preferable to have knowledge of Linux, any cloud, and backup solution.

• Experience on performing the basic Solaris infrastructure maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring that the cluster, server, and logs are in excellent shape prior to updating, and resolving any potential issues.

• Administration of SAN technologies and scripting languages like shell and Perl.

• Candidates with Solaris Certification would be preferable.
