Technical competence in tax (direct tax/ indirect tax) and also the industry / specialized field
Preparation of direct tax (including transfer pricing) and indirect tax monthly/ quarterly/ annual compliances
Preparation of documentation for tax audit by statutory auditors and tax department
Well versed with tax research database and case law research
Lead and manage all indian local corporate and indirect tax matters and assist with local statutory audit, tax audit and income tax department
Review and/or prepare india tax provision and india tax account reconciliations under i gaap/ ind as and local statutory reporting rules
Prepare and monitor monthly/ quarterly income tax accruals
Plays a key supporting role on transactions, projects, controversies, regulatory developments and legislative analysis depending on the circumstances and skill set required
Respond to requests from other departments timely and effectively
Research local tax issues related to operations of indian entities
Establish tax control processes; identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiencies in the local tax compliance process and tax audit
Prepare/review tax technical, tax process and control documentations
Applies professional-level technical knowledge, skills, and experience to accomplish results
Carries out assignments received in the form of objectives and works with supervisor in developing goals and action steps that will meet those objectives
Interact daily with all departments and counterparts
Keep abreast of current tax laws, regulations and practicesIdentify changes that impact the business and communicate them to management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly motivated individual with ability to multitask and complete deliverables within time constraints and deadlines
Strong analytical ability, logical and problem solving approach on complex issues
Chartered accountant with 6+ years of experience
Jurisdiction familiarity with asia will be an added advantage
