Singlestore is looking for an experienced and motivated human resource generalist to help us support and scale our india and apj region in all aspects of the employee experience, including but not limited to hr operations, benefits, payroll, administration, compliance, onboarding and offboardingThis is a high-touch, employee-centric role that will provide a lot of opportunity for growth and visibility into many areas of human resources.

The hr generalist will ensure that employees at all levels of the organization have the information they need to do their jobs quicklyYou will be the primary point of contact for our employees in the india region and will help assist with any hr needs they may haveMost critically, you will be the face of singlestore for all our new apac hires as you take ownership over our onboarding program and help to create a red carpet welcome experienceYou will closely collaborate with our director of hr and our hr generalist in the us, talent acquisition, it, managers, and new hires to ensure everyone is welcomed into the singlestore family and enabled to be successful.

Role and responsibilities
Own and administer the new employee experience by creating a red carpet welcome experience for new hires across india and other apj countries.
Provide market intelligence around benefits, compensation, holidays, etc.
Maintain human resources information, auditing data, preparing reports and proposing business process improvements and automation
Communicate recommendations on initiatives through data and thoughtful interpretation of survey findings
Manage day to day administration of benefits, payroll and other systems
Act as a trusted resource to employees on a wide variety of human resources areas including policy interpretation and benefits
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliancePartners with the director of hr and legal departments as needed
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units/locations and provides information and feedback to the director of hr
Works closely with the director of hr to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
Performs other related duties as assigned
This is a full-time position with a flexible working schedule that will be required to physically work in our bangalore office a minimum of 25% of the time.
Required skills and experience
3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a startup environment
Service-minded with a high level of professionalism and integrity
Have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Possess an understanding of various hr functional areas, including onboarding, compensation/benefits, and employee relations
Prior experience with processing india payroll, leave management, benefits.
Understanding of hr compliance & laws.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, possessing the ability to build trust within the organisation
Bachelor`s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
