Main purpose:
Managing direct and indirect tax of refined metals and concentrates and coke and coalbusiness in india .
Knowledge skills and abilities, key responsibilities:
Chartered accountants (ca)
5- 8 years of experience in a financial/ commodity sector and/or manufacturing sector with strong tax & other statutory laws background
Experience in day to tax matters including filing of returns and to attend tax hearings
Strong knowledge of transfer pricing regulations incl cbcr/beps
Strong hold and knowledge of indirect tax- customs & gst
Knowledge of service tax, excise and vat laws
Knowledge of computation of income tax, filing of tax returns, mat computation, icds etc.
The individual should be experienced in dealing with diverse range of stakeholders up to & including senior management and senior traders
Good analytical & numerical skills
Ability to communicate effectively in english (oral & written)
Possess strong interpersonal skills
The individual must have a proven track record of the ability to work to meet deadlines in an accurate manner – this is a fundamental requirement
Well organised & can multi task
Experience of working in complex businesses set up/rnvironment
Advanced knowledge and ability to work on microsoft tools – ms excel, access & powerpoint
Experience of foreign tax jurisdictions will be preferred.
Key responsibilities
Maanging the gst (goods & service tax) applicability on the company incl the tax return filings and transaction structuring.
Management of tax ledgers, reconciliation and reporting to group on monthly basis.
Managing the transfer pricing filings/ tp study/ cbcr reporting
Direct tax filings incl finalisation of tax audit, mat computation, icds etc.
Apa filings and audit compliances
Attend all personal tax hearings- direct or indirect tax incl preparation of data
Handle all annual assessments & litigation matters across india with various tax authorities
Applicable tax structurings for all new structured trades and in normal course of business.
Drive and co-ordinate strategic initiatives with business and engaging the multiple stakeholders
