Position summary
As our business continues to grow locally in mumbai and across apac, we’re seeking an experienced, hands-on hr business partner who will cultivate and maintain a people strategy that engages our staff and manages the unique needs of a global service oriented businessThis position will partner with the leadership and be a part of key talent and policy decision-makingThis role reports into the managing director in mumbai and the head of hr for trailer park group in los angeles and is key to integrating the local structure.
Main duties
This position is the hr business partner to the leadership team in workforce planning, analysis and creating an office culture of equity, inclusion that attracts, supports, and retains talent.
Understand the business, goals, and challenges in order to identify and address issues and opportunities building a successful production workforce.
Drive the unity of the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function with dual reporting for certain roles to global teams.
Strategically guide talent acquisition to increase employer branding, uncover new talent pools and partner directly with the business.
Partner with trailer park group global hr team and legal.
Maintain the necessary level of business and financial understanding of the company’s financials, culture, and market competitors.
Coach business leaders/people managers on performance management, employee relations, and mentorship.
Hire and develop an hr team as the business continues to grow.
Provide direction and support for local compensation, benefits, wellness, and hris initiatives.
Ensure legal and statutory compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable employment law and policy requirements.
Ensure effective communication of policies, procedures and practices; accuracy of information reported; and resolution of issues and inquiries.
Manage hr programs and activities for an an onsite and hybrid workforce.
Develop strategies and actions to increase employee engagement and commitment.
Create and implement a people development strategy that meets current and future needs of the business that helps motivate and retain key talent.
Build greater consistency in how performance is managed across the business
Develop pathways to support employee growth.
Ensure effective and timely internal communication throughout the business.
Be the guardian of values making sure that they are engrained in the business
Support the awareness of the employer brand externally as well as internally
Ad hoc project work as required.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive human resources experience
Ability to stay on top of the changes in various labor laws and shifts in government guidelines to keep employees safe.
Experience leading a hr team for a 24×7 business operation.
Ability to maintain focus and composure under high volume pressure.
Proven ability to understand the business and drive effective change to meet the business challenges.
Proven success managing multiple projects and/or systems implementations.
Possesses a strong results-oriented drive and well is organized.
Balance the business and people needs to meet overall goals
Team focused, down to earth style that builds trust, encourages collaboration, transparent communication and continuous learning.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively and influence all levels of staff.

Experience working with a global hr system like workday.
