Job overview and responsibilities
The position has both strategic and tactical responsibilities. This role will drive projects in the Analytics space resulting in incremental revenue or improving efficiency. Role requires work with multiple stakeholders leading and managing initiatives that leverage data, modeling, predictive analytics to drive incremental revenue and/or customer experience.
Individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to take initiative and ownership will be successful. This role requires business intuition and a working knowledge of analytical tools. This role reports to Head of Data Science and Enterprise Analytics (India Knowledge Center) and has responsibility of leading a team to successfully deliver projects.
Lead projects ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness of analysis and solutions
Collaborate with internal divisions, to drive value through evaluating product performance, offer optimization, pricing and personalization
Be a consultant to business stakeholders – provide in-depth analyses, develop business cases and recommendations for innovations to address business opportunities
Collaborate with internal and external teams, help business owners make faster, smarter decisions
Socialize key initiatives with stakeholders
Create and deliver presentations as required
Challenge internal team on advanced analytical concepts – lead and guide modeling techniques, approaches and methodologies
Ensure alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives
Manage a team of data and analytics experts
Hire, train, retain and challenge best-in-class data science and analytics professionals

At least 8 years of experience in analytics
At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
Proven experience managing multiple projects effectively
Proven experience in delivering value with use of data
Hands on experience with Big Data ecosystems
Be experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationship
Strong knowledge of either SAS, R or Python
Be proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL
Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified – and sometimes undiscovered – needs
Manage a team and deliver to exceed client/stakeholder expectations while ensuring a high quality, on-time delivery
Track record of delivering strong business results
Be adept at juggling several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization
Deliver end results maintaining quick turn-around times and high quality standards
Lead brain storming sessions and propose hypothesis, approaches and techniques
Strong story-telling & articulation skills ability to convert analytical output into clear, concise and persuasive insights & recommendations for technical & non-technical audience
Strong influence and relationship management skills; comfortable interacting with all management levels
Be able to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise and actionable manner
Exhibit written and spoken English fluency
Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Master’s Degree in a quantitative field like Math, Statistics, Operations Research and/or MBA
Background in Machine Learning and Stats is preferred but not a must have
