The selected candidate will work in interoperability engineering team as software engineering developing interoperability platform that enables healthcare data exchange using HL7 and FHIR standards.
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Strong programming skills, preferably in Java.
Ability to demonstrate solid Object-Oriented Programming knowledge.
Ability to write Unit tests.
Nice to have experience in JAMA Requirement management tool.
Proficiency in Git (AWS) is a plus.
Experience with Medical device development in software/hardware integration is desired but not must.
Good written and verbal communication (English), and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Good understanding of Agile and Scrum processes.
Helps manage and drive development schedule and related activities.
Works closely with other developers and testers to coordinate on development plan.
Maintains engineering documentation as per Varian defined development process.
Skills
Strong fundamentals of software design (OOPS, SOLID Principles, REST API, OOAD, SOA, and Web Services etc.)
Experience working with Databases like MS SQL
Understanding of Build Management, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD)
Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
