We are hiring a Technical Sales Manager to join our sales team as part of our Refining Technology Business. This role reports to Sales Director – India, Middle East & Africa and will be based at Mumbai.
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible to maintain, support & grows sales of Grace RT products to refineries in IMEA region with responsibility for a group of accounts. He/she will communicate and coordinate with global technical service, R&D, manufacturing and logistics and take independent responsibility for tracking tenders, completing & submitting of proposals & closing sales. He/she keep disciplined and regularly update the RT Sales management and CRM systems (SFDC), build relationships at all levels with customers and be able to value sell our products and track performance. He/she will interact with RT industry experts at global technical, commercial and sales operations functions.
Acts as main point of contact for RT to all assigned customers.
Establish cooperative technical and commercial relationships with customers.
Coordinate with all support groups to ensure seamless sale and delivery of RT products and payment by customer to match terms provided under guidance of Director.
Responsibility as account manager for all assigned accounts. Coordinate with all support groups to ensure seamless sale and delivery of RT products and payment by customer to match terms provided. Take the lead to solve any customer non-technical problems that arise.
Write and present proposals for all RT products to customers.
Develop information from customers to help determine needs for new products or improvements in existing products. Provide Marketing any customer supplied industry trends and competitive information.
Representing RT at national / international conferences & presenting papers with global team support.
Managing/ supporting business growth projects initiated by the corporate.
Disciplined reporting and regular update of the RT Sales Management and CRM Systems (SFDC).
Value selling with the focus on cost to serve and EBITDA
Minimum 10 years experience in the Indian petroleum refining sector mainly in FCC/hydroprocessing.
Customer facing technical sales experience of 2-5 years to IMEA region refiners.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to collaborate to accomplish work goals
Ability to lead teams of diverse groups to support Catalysts and Customer needs
Adaptable to changing business needs
Must be able to travel when required including some international travel (up to 40%)
Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent required. Business degree/ diploma preferred.
