- Linux application/system programming. * Developing the code for the multi-processor and Multi-threading environment. * Understanding the System architecture and participate in firmware/middleware development * Prepare and execute unit Test plans by developing test cases and scripts. * Development following Agile Life Cycle Model * Documentation of Work – Specification/Architecture/Design/Reports * Participate in SCRUM/Agile processes. * Interacting with internal and external customer groups across the geographies. * Bachelors 4- 10yrs experience, Master 2 – 8 yrs. Experience in EE, EC or equivalent required * Good understanding of computer architecture and OS fundamentals (Linux) * Strong knowledge in C, Object oriented programming, Multi-threaded programming. * Experience of designing and architecture for application and Middleware development Design patterns * Experience in any Debug tool and IDE environment (eg GDB, Eclipse, CCS, Metaware) * Good understanding of Linux environment. * Embedded system knowledge, Microcontroller programming in RTOS environment * Exposure to Scripting knowledge in python / bash is an additional advantage. * Experience on PCIe protocol is an added advantage Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
