Description:
Coordinate all payroll processes with the payroll manager: updates payroll information and evaluation dates and scores in the human resources software, prepares all payroll records for transmittal, checks payroll reports for accuracy, authorize payroll, send payroll reports to appropriate individuals
Inputs/imports all new employees into the system and assures all proper documentation is accurate upon hire.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of all human resources and payroll tasks, including hiring and termination procedures and pay policies for hourly and exempt staff.
Conducts and helps coordinate new employee orientation.
Knowledge of employee handbook and available to answer any employee questions relating to hooverwood policies.
Meet with employees to answer payroll questions, resolve payroll issues or answer other h.rQuestions, as needed.

Requirements:
Qualifications
High school graduate or posses a ged or equivalent
Excellent math aptitude and data entry skills
Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll policies and taxes
Previous experience in payroll preferred
Working knowledge of windows, microsoft word, and excel preferred
Physical or mental functions required to perform job: the payroll specialist (1) must function effectively under timelines and multiple demands; (2) must be able to fully and effectively communicate orally and have the ability to write or type; (3) must be able to read normal print/script and computer generated type; (4) must have the ability to hear effectively; (5) must have full use of at least one arm and hand; (6) must be ambulatory; (7) must not be impaired at any time.
