This is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
The position is based in India and will require the candidate to work as a CORE Java developer for Lending platform in Citigroup Ltd.
This role will report to the Team lead in Pune.
Candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
Candidate will work independently and should be highly self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Elegant solutions and Architectural solutions
Design, develop, test and maintain, robust, resilient, scalable, high quality software
Stay abreast of developments in programming languages
Stay current and provide insight on cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors
Knowledge/Technical Experience:
Proven experience as a CORE Java Developer
Comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries if required.
Hands on experience on Core Java 8+, Spring, Spring boot and good to have Reactive programming
Good knowledge on UI frameworks such as Angular 2+ and RXJS
Fluent in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript and HTML5, with an understanding of CSS pre-processors
Knowledge of WebSocket programming and NGRX would be preferred
Desirable Skills (Not Necessary):
UI Unit test frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor)
Java Junit testing using Junits, Mockito, TestNG
Experience on Hibernate, JPA is a plus
ELK
Knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins/Team city
Knowledge of version control tool such as GIT
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
7+ years of hands-on experience
