Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in an hr generalist leadership role evidencing strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate hr and business strategies
Proven ability to diagnose issues, drawing on both professional experience and strategic thinking skills, and drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative
Not hindered by ambiguity or competing prioritiesThis means you are not only able to develop and drive initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done.
Strong analytical skills, including the understanding of metrics to support plans and monitor performance
Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills; strong facilitation skills
Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization
Experience in coaching senior leaders and managers
Strong talent assessment skills
Ability to work independently, as well as an active member of both business and hr teams
Experience working with global teams, including driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans

This is a senior hr leader role that drives the development and implementation of hr strategy for the a set of teams within the devices and services org in indiaThis will involve supporting senior business leaders and leading people charters for various teams within devices and servicesThis hr role works alongside seasoned industry leaders to develop the talent strategy and build a work environment where employees can develop, contribute and thrive.
Key job responsibilities
You will focus on organizational design and effectiveness, talent management, rewards/recognition, workforce planning, employee development and engagementTo be successful in this role, you will contribute to business strategy and translate business priorities into a long term hr charterYou’ll help business leaders look around corners through data-driven innovative recommendations for new initiatives as well as iterating on current programs to improve team performance, retention and the employee experienceYou will coordinate with other teams within hr/amazon as well as spearhead and participate in cross-group and india-wide projectsYou will be expected to play the role of a trusted advisor and collaborate extensively with global hr and business stakeholdersYou will also have people management responsibilities with hrbp reportees.
As an hr professional, you must have the ability to diagnose issues, see patterns of problems as you dive deep, and recommend immediate and long term programmatic solutionsYou will be called on to seamlessly collaborate across groups, influence all levels of the organization, and roll up your sleeves and engage on a hands-on basisYour strong business acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills are key to success as is your ability to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions, and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change
Advanced degree from a top tier mba school.
Resume that shows steady progression in hr management for the last 7 – 10+ years
Strong evidence of stretch assignments that are evidence of superior performance in previous roles
Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and leading hr teams with talented hr professionals
Able to travel, as appropriate.
