Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Manage Bill of material for all the Electrical and electronic components within ICS

• Identifying and approving alternate part replacements for obsolescence and lead time issues

• Developing roadmaps for digital core components

• Responsible for component BOM analysis

• Provide recommendation on obsolete and sole source parts by understanding the component usage.

• Develop MGPP for proactive obsolescence management for sub-components

• Initiate best practices of obsolescence management and supply chain management.

• Identify and approve new suppliers for sub-components.

• Develop and manage suppliers and secondary source base for component procurement

• Develop and standardize validation plan for sub-components

• Analyze, condense and present test data/results.

• Identify and develop good rapport with external test lab for component characterization.

• Support the development of requirements, technical designs, DFMEA and DVP&R.

• Apply systematic problem-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.

• Maintain orderly project records. Know, document, and communicate project status as required both verbally and in written form.

• Release engineering component prints in product life cycle management system.

• Can review schematic and recommend changes based on worst-case analysis.

• Must be willing to work in US shift timing to have enough overlap with US-based process partners and product groups

Any Obsolescence management and supply chain management tools like Silicon Expert or Total parts plus or IHS or Z2DATA etc

Standards

RoHS, REACH, IEC, ISO, AEC, AS5553 or other counterfeit detection standards

Qualifications

BE / ME (Electrical & Electronics)

Experience

9 to 14 years
