Introduction – Engineering Change Coordinator
When you are an Engineering Change Coordinator at Caterpillar, you will be under limited supervision and in accordance to change control procedures you will implement Engineering changes, NPI programs, and RSSM reduction through coordination with: Engineering, Assembly Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Material Planning, and Operations and other duties as assigned. You will typically report to a supervisor.
Job Responsibility
Analyse Engineering packages to determine priorities and establish dates for releases or Engineering changes.
Ensure parts availability for Purchasing and Material Planning procurement for engineering changes.
Coordinate required rework or material scrap resulting from new releases or Engineering changes.
Rely on independent decision making to complete job tasks.
Must meet deadlines.
Multitask and prioritize workload.
May enter drawing change information and new release information into EDS.
May lead production meeting regarding the introduction of new parts.
Attend NPI Meetings to ensure product changes are coordinated. Required Qualifications
Part-time normal and part-time concentrated visual attention and manual dexterity to prepare correspondence, use computer application programs proficiently and maintain office functions and operations.
Able to multitask and prioritize workload.
Able to communicate cross-functionally to complete tasks.
Background and Eligibility
*An Engineering Degree in Full time from a reputed University or college
*At least 2 – 3 years of work experience in related functions
