Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop appropriate packaging solutions to meet the team targets and customer requirements
Lead initiatives and collaborations with various facilities to identify scope of expansion.
Validate/simulate loading quantities in the package and control the packaging cost in the reasonable level for expendable packaging
Perform FEA, simulation of concept designs
Responsible for Project management
Lead a small team, support concept creation, monitor deliverables and timely project execution.
Support team members in resolving safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging
Resolve issues reported by customers and process partners and Audit conformance to packaging usage guidelines.
Joint Process Improvement with packaging vendors and purchasing
Familiarity with expendable packaging materials cost level in the market
Go See Act on the floor to support operations when required.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Packaging experience or equivalent
Hands on experience in Packaging design is a must
Extensive experience in ProE/Creo & Creo simulate
Knowledge of Global Purchasing, Manufacturing, logistics, operations, transportation, quality, purchasing, and other supply chain functional areas
Familiarity with expendable packaging materials cost level in the market
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
Knowledge of Project Management Principles
Excellent leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
Develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems
Thorough understanding of policies and procedures
Ability to work independently and train team members
Capable of working, communicating and coaching team members
Knowledge / Understanding of 6 Sigma Project Management principles
Knowledge in Ansys or equivalent is a plus
