Job Description:
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for setting up new parts in ILC within the global MPN targets
This role performs collaborative work along with customers of ILC(India Logistic Centre) understanding the setup needs and different process partners in ILC(Purchasing, Supply Chain Operations) & MPN (Global NPS & others teams) to ensure seamless support for new parts.
This role also encompasses analysis and recommendations of existing portfolio of parts in ILC
Monitors and accelerates the progress via the salesforce tool, including, but not limited to:
Help Customer with any New part setup query or salesforce query
Onboard new customer, training & troubleshooting of customer request issues
Coordinate with the customer on major projects/priorities
Ensure packaging process is completing as per lead time
Follow-up for additional email queries-Box qty, box type changes etc.
Coordinate with Purchasing team for locally sourced parts
Get MOQ, Leadtime & Supplier details from respective teams
Master Data creation- Material Master, Schedule agreement, Source List
Release parts to customer with MOQ, LT, Box type & qty
Obtain transfer price, prepare and send the customer quotation
Collaborate with other MPNs-Decline, sources, priority
Lead project/changes/ enhancements for improving NPS process
Generates NPS performance report-No of parts, leadtime, declines etc
Reviewing opportunities for improvements
Replication of best practices from other Logistics Centres in US, UK & India
Stakeholder discussions based on requirements
Any compliance handling -scoped in NPS process
Analysis & recommendations in the existing portfolio of parts handled by ILC
Minimal Travel Required (5% – 15% working time)
POSITION IMPACTS: Incumbent supports the MPN strategy enabling Win in India Initiative for other production facilities of Caterpillar
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of Lean supply chain principles, processes and new age tools
Knowledge of SAP (CBS) or any equivalent ERP system
Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively works across functions to perform work deploying supply chain improvements.
Requires problem-solving skills to solve complex problems.
Must be a strong team player in order to be effective in deploying supply chain improvements as part of a team.
Must possess understanding of manufacturing and operations standard processes and basic product knowledge.
Ability to analyze business conditions and situations during deployment needed to minimize disruption to daily requirements.
CPS Support Team Member Qualified
CPS Functional Job Role Qualified
APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is required.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of Five years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst/engineer, purchasing analyst desired
6 Sigma/CPS/Lean project experience
Experience with the CPS/Lean event and Value Stream Transformation process desired
A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.
