The Business Risk Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the Issue which are self-identified have corrective actions plans (CAPs) to address the root cause in a timely manner and risk rated correctly. All CAPs meeting the 5 IBAM criteria. Also, long dated (>12 months) CAPs are at minimum and have genuine reasons. Ensure that no CAPs are past-due and have adequate approvals per the TTS CAP policy. Also, planning CAPs are not mis-managed to extend resolution.
Review that the P&L write-off/ Potential loss events have appropriate CAPs/ lessons learnt and are approved as per the TTS policy. Ensure that they are accounted for in the financial books and the LCS system appropriately and timely.
Issue in one product/ country are evaluated/ lessons learnt for applicable fixes across the other product/ countries in the region. Independently drive regional initiatives from lessons learnt.
Improve self-identification of issues through proactive peer reviews and deep dives of key risk products/ processes and systems including product programs and local country addendums. Key areas of coverage will have to be identified and review/ deep dive methodology finalized and executed with focus of issue identification and corrective action. Peer reviewers can be fellow IBC and colleagues from Front office and/ or Operations.
Identify leading risk indicators through data analytics/ machine learning of the past issues & loss events.
Work pro-actively and closely with Global and Regional partners on Issue & event management. This includes generating accurate and complete metrics.
Work closely with the business management to ensure adequate support is provided as regards resources and budget for key risk issue resolution.
Identify and work on automating the tasks/activities and to reduce manual efforts where possible.
Knowledge/Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience preferably gained from financial services industry.
Knowledge and experience of TTS products, operations & technology i.e. Cash Management, Trade, Commercial Cards, and Payments & Receivable is a plus.
Background of working in Risk & Control areas with an eye for identifying and mitigating risks will help.
Business Analyst experience supporting Business, Risk or Finance will be an advantage

The TTS In-business Risk & Control (IBC) organization is primarily responsible to work very closely with product to monitor, maintain and enhance the robust risk & control framework that enables effective risk & control identification, mitigation, escalation and execution of enhancement.
The Risk & Control Business officer role forms part of the AP TTS In-business Risk & Control team and will reports directly to the AP TTS Risk Head.
The Issue Management role will be responsible for improving the number and quality of self-identified issues and emerging risks leading to the improvement of IBAM (Issues being addressed by Management).
The incumbent will coordinate the above activities across products & countries and will interact closely with other IBCs, product managers, operations & technology
