Position Overview:
You are an information developer with 8+ years of experience in creating content at product development companies, with good conceptual understanding of networking and cloud technologies. You have good written and oral communication skills in English language and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to your technical audience.
You can conceptualize, plan, develop, and write documentation sets, including complex technical material, under limited supervision, and are able to work simultaneously on multiple key projects with changing priorities. You have worked in an Agile environment and are a good team player.
In this role, you will be an individual contributor owning the product deliverable for a product or module(s) within a product. You will have the opportunity to work with team of product engineers, test engineers, GUI engineers, product managers, and support and sales engineers to create the required documentation.
As part of the Cloud Software Group’s documentation team, you play an important role by contributing to the overall user experience and product adoption. We extensively use feedback mechanisms, SEO techniques, and visitor analytics and take concrete actions for a superior user experience. As part of project deliverable, we collaborate with developers to come up with product documentation, blogs and create end-to-end use cases to drive product adoption. To achieve this, we use industry standard docs-as-code infrastructure (Markdown/GitHub/Bitbucket) to collaborate and deliver documentation at a rapid pace in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize, plan, develop, and write documentation sets, including complex technical material, with limited supervision.
Coordinate with the team members for any dependent documentation deliverable.
Work simultaneously on multiple key projects, if required.
Be the first customer. Try out features on your own before documenting it for the customer.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Engineering.
At least 8+ years as a technical writer in product development organizations.
Should be able to learn new products and technologies quickly and have the versatility to move between projects.
