The Energy and Marine department of COWI India is undertaking projects from both international and domestic markets and offers a comprehensive range of consulting services related to the development of Offshore Wind Farms, Renewables, Ports, Harbours, Coastal and Marine structures etc. COWI India’s Energy & Marine department is supporting their clients to draw a detailed picture of any consequences on the built and natural environment arising from the development/installation of any offshore wind farm, renewables, oil and gas terminal, port, marine, coastal projects.
REALISE YOUR POTENTIAL WITHIN A TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our team in Chennai / Gurgaon, and work closely with the local/ international teams based in COWI offices worldwide. Your primary responsibility would be supporting our project managers in delivering the full package of various deliverables to the customer.
On a day-to-day basis you will:

Develop BIM Execution Plan and BIM Strategy to deliver transportation projects

Own quality of all deliverables related to BIM modelling and clash coordination

Lead a team of BIM modellers and offer them guidance to grow professionally

Develop and implement BIM workflows and drive automation and design reuse

Develop, implement, and enforce BIM families, standards, and templates in projects

Set out the information exchange protocols, focussing on interoperability, program, QA, frequency, the purpose of exchange

Work with the project team to embed the ethos of BIM delivery

Work with external parties to ensure that information exchange is planned, structured, and well maintained

To succeed in this position, you should be an effective communicator with an excellent command over written & spoken English. In addition, you should have the ability to work in multicultural environment & be able to perform under tight deadlines.
Furthermore, to align with the organisations overarching driver of technical excellence, you should:

Hold a BE/ME in Civil/Structural Engineering and have 10 – 15 years of experience

Have experience as BIM Manager in projects with multiple disciplines involved, like MEP, Structures, and Architecture

Have high expertise on Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks and 4D Simulation along with-it working knowledge of AECOsim and Solibri will be an added advantage.

Be familiar with universal BIM Standards (ISO19650, COBie, PAS/BS 1192) & interoperability between different software programs like Revit, AECOsim, Civil 3D etc.

Have working knowledge in making Dynamo scripts for linear structures and ability and willingness to learn new programs as required by individual projects.

Hands on experience in Civil 3D would be an added advantage

Possess great knowledge in information management in accordance with ISO 19650
