TECHNICAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Description
This entry level shop or office management position supervises technicians mainly in one of the following environments: Laboratory, Drafting/Product Configuration, Functional Excellence, or Engineering IT, and works primarily with internal customers to understand their requirements and allocates appropriate resources to meet those requirements that most often involve the delivery of data and/or information.
Supervises technicians in an assigned test area and allocates appropriate resources to meet customer needs.
Works primarily with internal customers to understand their needed support requirements and engages collaboratively to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
Applies basic knowledge of engineering or managerial principles and seeks help/guidance to learn established work processes and systems
Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role
Ensures equipment used in the work environment is traceable and technicians have proper training.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
Demonstrated aptitude is required. A college, university, or equivalent associate’s degree or certification in an Engineering Technology area is
preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in a Technical Operations environment such as a temporary student employeeship, co-op, other extracurricular team activities or other relevant leadership roles.
