An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research or Senior Research Analyst professional based in GIC India to play a key role in the growth of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) research team. This position requires the candidate to help build our business practice by developing insightful strategic research, proactively supporting client engagements and some business development activities.
The PPE practice, a part of Chemicals, Materials, & Nutrition division of Frost & Sullivan provides organisations with up-to-date market intelligence that enables our clients to take advantage of the rapid pace of technology and business model evolution in personal protective equipment markets. Frost & Sullivan’s PPE team provides clients with differentiated market intelligence that delivers both vendor and end-user insights used by enterprises around the world to make educated business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Domain Expertise– Become a thought leader in the PPE team, delivering value via strategic research, client engagement, global press, and social media outreach.
Secondary Responsibilities
Business Development –Maintain business relationships with global PPE players by regularly participating in briefings with them and working under the guidance of colleagues to conduct business needs analysis for Frost & Sullivan clients.
Consulting Engagement – Proactively contribute to industrial technologies consulting projects under the guidance of senior team members, demonstrate specialist knowledge in the industrial technologies industry, and utilise defined research and analytical practices in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role PPE plays in ensuring worker safety around the world. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
Essential
A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in business marketing, market research, economics, journalism, or technology.
2-3 years of experience in the related industry is preferable
A degree-level education or equivalent experience within a relevant related discipline.
At least 3 years of analyst/consulting working experience within a Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment.
The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
A foundational understanding of the personal safety industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, business functionalities, and competitive landscapes.
Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the PPE domain to become a respected thought leader in the eyes of global industry vendors.
The ability to network to create new vendor relationships and to proactively manage ongoing relationships to stay relevant to them.
Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team.
An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
