Roles and Responsibilities
Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations. Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
Leading Compliance, as well as GE Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
Manage Plan Vs Actual and liase with Planning, Production, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure that any deviations that are addressed by respective stakeholders
Manage & addressing group of 70+ Manpower requirements for the agreed demand plan.
Ensure best production practices are getting implemented in the assembly process such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kitting solutions etc.,
Ensure EHS is adhered at every step starts from material receipt, storage, assembly, testing and packaging.
Drive process improvement / cycle time reduction initiatives for productivity improvements.
Maintain the documentation (Skill Matrix, SOP, Work Instructions, Routine Check Sheets)
Manage all work according to packing schedule and maintain completion of all projects with required timeframe.
Manage and resolve all packing issues in coordination with quality department.
Co ordination with engineering team for recent design changes and new project changes
Coach and mentor the new joiners, train them and allocate them for the right job
Drive process improvements in manufacturing line
