Job Purpose : India has approximately 1700 CL jobs that are approved locally by the medical team annually. There is need identified to provide support to the medical affairs team for the copy approval process looking at the sheer quantum of copy approval done by the team as well as keeping in mind that LOC medical affairs team members are also responsible for various other prioritized actions for enabling the execution of the brand plans. Thus, to ensure copy approval process is strengthened through specialist team focusing only on this aspect for entire GSK India portfolio there is need of copy approval specialist.

Scope : Therapeutic areas of responsibility: Basic Medical Sciences, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, HIV, Non-communicable disease, Oncology, Dermatology, Metabolics and primary care

Principal stakeholders: Medical, Commercial, Customer Engagement, MCM and Legal Department for fulfillment of all related activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities & KPI’s:

1. Copy Approval

• Understands the copy approval process e2e including the systems i.e., Content Lab.

• Supports in building/ optimising medical affairs activities e.g., content (campaigns, slides) for the relevant assets/ indication(s) for their respective brands/TA.

• Develop and review/approve promotional, scientific and training content/materials ensuring excellence in compliance with all required GSK policies and local regulations.

• Ensure there is a seamless collaboration with the Therapy Area (TA) medical affairs team and commercial team translating into creating the right content for their respective brands/TA.

1. Scientific & Product Expertise

• Demonstrate knowledge of concepts of scientific and clinical data in one or more therapeutic areas and related GSK products, including the related clinical studies and their desired positioning in the market for such products.

• Understands the risk/benefit profiles of GSK products.

• Understands TA/product strategy for key products in the promo grid.

• Understands the populations and endpoints selected and the claims they (are intended to) support.

• Demonstrate strong understanding of the interpretation of clinical studies results.

Internal relationships:

Work closely with commercial and medical affairs staff to ensure the successful accomplishment of medical & commercial projects.

Qualifications : (List the education/training, experiences and skills).

Basic qualifications:

• Sound medical knowledge of basic sciences, but also disease areas such as infectious disease, respiratory, vaccine preventable illness.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Highly resilient with demonstrated learning agility.

• Strong business mindset.

• Built corporate behavior adding value to the business.

Preferred qualifications:

BDS/MBBS, preferred or PharmD, PhD or equivalent
