Job Responsibilities:
Operates the volume forecasting process within the Supply Chain Operating Model supporting the Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) for an assigned set of Segments/Therapies/Markets
Responsible for historical data cleansing (liaising with the commercial teams) and running of Statistical forecast for the assigned Segments/Therapies/Markets
Partners with the LOC Marketing teams and Finance Team to lead the monthly Pre-DRM & DRM meetings to discuss baseline forecasts volume and agree any forecast adjustments across relevant Segments/Therapies/Markets capturing the UnconstrainedVolume and Value forecasts
Liaise with the commercial and marketing teams to capture comprehensive total volume forecast including New Product Introduction, and Tenders
Prepares forecast inputs into the key Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) meetings including Demand Review, feeding through to Supply Review and regional S&OP meetings.
Accountable for driving performance in demand forecasting KPIs by performing a detailed root cause analysis and working with commercial and finance organizations to takecorrective actions at National as well as CFA levels
Supports the demand lead for strategic global and regional projects that will use demand forecasting as a lever to unlock further benefits in GSK’s supply chain including Inventory Reduction, FG write-off reduction, ERP and process enhancements, Supply Chain Transformation etc.
Promotes a ‘one number’ mindset to drive business decision-making and forecast transparency / functional accountability.
Ensure the correct distribution of the national demand planning numbers to the regional distributioncenters and CFA ( carrying and forwarding Agents) basis the prescribed disaggregation and coordinate with the distribution teams to ensure the optimum stock availability
Liaise with the regional business managers (RBMs) within a month to understand and document the additional stock requirements at various CFA locations and coordinate with the Supply and distribution teams to ensure timely stock availability at CFA to support order fulfilment
Liaise with the Product management team to get the CFA wise allocation for constrained products and share the final distribution forecast with W&D team for distribution planning
Ensure system compliance in generating the statistical forecast, maintaining the Market Intelligence data and timely release of the forecast volume data to commercial and supply chain teams.
Work with the Supply chain Process and Capability champion to drive the future improvements and process simplification in Demand Forecasting
Key Deliverables include :
Improvement of Forecast accuracy and bias at national and CFA level
Reduction in FG write-off and support the inventory optimization initiatives at national and CFA level
Sustain and improve CCC process maturity
Support the regional forecasting lead in the process improvement initiatives
Support the regional forecasting initiatives like segmentation
Key Stakeholders include:
Commercial Teams ( BU Leads, product managers, marketing leads, Regional business managers)
Local and regional supply team members
Customer service and distribution teams
Qualification and experience required
BE with MBA from reputed institute
8 to 12 years of experience in Demand planning ( Pharma or FMCG experienced preferred)
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal ) and good stakeholder management
Good knowledge of Supply chain disciplines like supply planning, distribution planning, inventory management and procurement
Good knowledge of excel and power BI expected
APICS or equivalent certification will be an advantage
