Job involves delivery of Supply Chain – PDM/MDM operations related to Compute products
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business issues within established policies.
Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management.
Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility.
Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff.
Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of process team engaged in below PDM & Cost Operations activities:
Involved in Cost Uploads, Cost Validation & Cost release management in SAP/MS4
Create/Setup like product Number, BOM Structure etc in MS4 ERP
Creating BOM attributes in Icost , PhWeb, & ERP –S4 HANA
Engage with PSO PDM & Cost stakeholders
Work as a Change Agent for PDM Implementation – NPI & ECO
Release Management – List to production for new models & after implementation of ECO’s
Coordinate for delivery of SKU creation & component Engineering activities within required cycle time and accuracy
Manage, control and direct staff to achieve KPIs for these Engineering processes
Ensures a high degree of stakeholder satisfaction by managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
People Management
Handle a team of 20 -25 Engineers
Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members
Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions
Handle escalations if any
Drive Continuous Improvement of Engineering Process using Lean Six Sigma
Manages a team of exempt individual contributors that typically support a moderately complex global business unit.
Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Ensures the delivery of products and services that meet the performance metrics defined by senior management.
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a limited scope.
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
Manages the demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution and identifying issues and their impact.
Drive countries trade compliance programs to realize efficiencies and advantages in the supply chain.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree.
Typically 8+ years of experience in a supply chain function (or related fields).
Typically 2-5years of people management experience.
Prior experience in Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management domains across BOM creations, Material Master creations , Product Hierarchy , Pricing Ops , Costing & Compliance
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced understanding of product data operations and cost operations processes, business operations, and strategy.
Strong analytical thinking, analysis, data modeling, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, and project structuring.
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
