Objective –
The Risk Financial Analyst role will be part of our Global Risk Management team, responsible for managing and processing the financial transactions of the Risk Management team. This role will work with country/cluster
accounting teams, FP&A and subject matter experts to develop and enhance the interface with these teams. . Additionally, this role will manage property losses, allocations, actuarial reporting and analytics and support various risk management initiatives and reporting. The role can be remote in India.
Job Description-
Oversee all Risk Management/Insurance related finance processes outside of NAO (59 countries). This includes tracking all the incoming invoices and recording them centrally.
Initiate (where necessary) and track invoice process and payments. Complete necessary approvals including the raising of purchase orders where required and prepare Journal Entries to be sent to A/P team.
Reconciliation for the necessary invoices and ensure that invoices are paid on time.
Review and recommend improvements to the invoice process.
During month-end ensure that A/P reports are inline with what is provided for the payments.
Calculate/Understand FX exposure for the rest of the world insurance invoices.
Update Budget/Invoice Tracker by policy detail after payments are processed.
Research and communication regarding budgets, outstanding payments, invoice tracking with internal teams and external vendors via email or phone if needed.
Assist with budget /premium allocations by country where required to ensure costs are accrued on the correctly (GRO,IMDC,Crozier, IMES)
-Assist with the set up of new suppliers in order to facilitate payments
-Assist with tracking of claims related costs and refunds/credits and review of covered / vs non covered expenses and reimbursements.
Skillset, education and experience –
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce must
Broader business qualification (e.g. MBA)
Insurance related experience/knowledge preferred but not necessary
SAP/Oracle knowledge
Understanding of accounting (P&L, Balance Sheet, liability impact to P&L)
Heavy user of excel
5-7 years + of experience in accounting and/or risk management preferred
Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus.
