Job purpose/overview
Reporting into the head – digital commerce, this role is responsible for delivering a gold standard digital content experience across various digital platforms for our customers and shoppersThis role will be accountable for the management and continuous improvement of our portfolios digital content across the digital shelf, customer marketplaces and various other digital channels.
The role partners and works closely with the performance marketing manager to ensure digital content and activity is optimised to ensure mars wrigley can deliver on growth targets.
This person will work cross functionally, playing a key collaboration role with multiple teams like customer marketing, account teams, marketing, dcom and global.
Key responsibilities
Digital content management
Lead the operations, co-creation, analysis and general maintenance of mars wrigley’s digital content.
Ensure written and visual digital content delivers a consistent, engaging, and high value experience for our customers and shoppers, ultimately delivering on continuous improvement to conversion and sales transactions.
Accountable for distribution and delivery of all digital content for our customers online sales platforms.
Develop a dcomm content roadmap, evaluating current state, gaps and opportunities and an action plan to enhance the portfolios digital content experience.
Ensure digital content meets all brand requirements, legal and regulatory compliance.
Work collaboratively with the customer development teams and customers to ensure their respective digital content meets guidelines, is easy to discover, easy to shop and delivers an engaging gold standard experience.
Search engine optimisation
Accountable for the continuous improvement and optimisation of digital content leading to higher share of search on our customers digital platforms, driving an increase in conversion from organic listings.
Develop and deliver an seo roadmap for mars wrigley’s digital portfolio.
Work closely with the dcomm performance & analytics lead to identify test and learn opportunities and collaborate on a broader digital optimization roadmap.
Use digital shelf analytics and insights tools to identify trends and opportunities whilst constantly tracking and measuring seo efforts, striving for continuous improvement.
Proactively educate mars wrigley associates on the importance of digital content and seo to build a greater understanding and uplift capability across the wider business.
Perfect digital store
Accountable for the mars wrigley perfect digital store program execution
Work with gtm, customer marketing and account teams to ensure mars wrigley delivers on perfect digital store requirements and actions are implemented.
Collaborate with local associates involved in the wider perfect store program.
Context and scope
The digital merchandising manager will play a vital role in mars wrigley’s digital transformation journeyA natural team player and self-starter that uses initiative to navigate the different teams and stakeholders it should influence and interact with to achieve its goals and help othersThe associate enjoys working in a matrixed environment effectively collaborating with others to get the job done.
It will essentially set and lead our approach to dcomm contentProactively prioritizes its body of work based on low hanging fruit, quick wins and where it can deliver the greatest value and increase in digital conversion.
The individual enjoys upskilling teams and sharing knowledge with others to provide context and build a businesses capability in a complex practice.

1Education & professional qualification
Degree qualified or equivalent in a business /e-commerce related discipline
2Knowledge/experience
Have strong commercial understanding of ecommerce
Understand core business metrics and how these can be influenced by the merchandising
Good communication skills to educate & influence stakeholders
Good analytical skill and ability to turn data into insights
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment
