Job Title: Manager – Digital & Fintech Partnerships, Business Development
Location: Bangalore
The Digital Partnerships team at Mastercard, South Asia is looking for a Manager, Business Development based out of Bangalore in India. The role is responsible for managing key partnerships across the Fintech/ Digital Ecosystem. The position requires a self-motivated, commercially pragmatic, business developer with strong partnership management skills.
Purpose of the role:
This position will have ownership for a designated set of Fintech partners and will lead the expansion and growth of Mastercard business from new as well as the assigned customer set.
Primary KPI’s will be growth and penetration of Mastercard digital payment solutions with the Fintech/ Digital players measured by Mastercard Spend volumes and revenue, co- brand/issuance deals signed, spend share gain, impactful consumer programs driven, value added services (such as Advisors, Processing -MPGS, Cyber & Intelligence Products etc.) activated amongst others.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all account management/business development activities for the designated partners, new partner hunting, manage business engagements & business relationships, identify opportunities, and run programs to grow both Mastercard and Partner’s volumes and revenue.
Design and execute large scale complex commercial partnerships and strategic initiatives across multiple product domains & market segments to enhance customer and Mastercard’s profitability.
Position Mastercard as a preferred strategic technology and business partner.
Ensure strong C-Suite connect & provide thought leadership, while managing expectations of local and global teams on all sides.
Proactively identify and address barriers and pain points for business – develop models and frameworks to create new solutions, ability to manage internal stakeholders (e.g., Pricing, Franchise, Compliance, Legal,) for smooth execution of engagements with partners.
Identify product synergies/sales opportunities that support relationship development and Mastercard revenue growth (i.e., Co-brand issuance, value add capabilities such as Cyber and Intelligence Products, processing, Advisors, QR, Contactless, etc.)
Initiate, design, coordinate and execute merchant funded offers and marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with cross functional team members and inter-country teams across domains to plan and execute account level product and business plans.
Ensure growth on processed volumes, gross and net revenues and share of volumes from existing & new sectors/verticals.
All about you:
a. Significant experience in fintech industry, managing sales & business development, partnerships management with demonstrated ability to strategize and execute with strong relationships in the relevant value chain/customer set.
b. Sound knowledge of digital payments industry, trends, Fintech landscape and value chain; convergence trends/technologies in the digital payments business; experience in digital payments will be a strong plus.
c. Established track record achieving quantitative targets and building business relationships
d. Self-driven, strong team player with entrepreneurial mindset
e. Strong written and communication skills with demonstrated ability to express a data backed viewpoint.
f. Demonstrated ability to sell ideas internally and externally.
g. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
h. Relevant experience of min. 5-7 years
