Be a part of the Medtronic Engineering and Innovation center (MEIC) in Hyderabad by applying your skills to the growth, development and sustaining efforts of Medical Devices products within the center. Sr. Systems Engineer for Released Product Engineering function is based out of Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center RD facility.
The Engineering RD function at MEIC, Hyderabad encompasses design, development and verification activities during New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining phases of the product development cycle for the Global Business Unit (GBU)s. The function is accountable for both design and design transfer support for a product under development. It entails, but is not limited to, activities commonly carried out during the product development process. Examples include software development testing in embedded, application and mobile arena, prototype development and testing, and documentation.
A Day in the Life
Identifies and solves system issues for released NS ET product.
Provides technical design engineering support for post-market processes, including complaint handling, design change control, and non-conformance/CAPA.
Critically analyzes released products and associated field performance against expected and unexpected use. Identifies partial or unmet user needs, abnormal use, and new hazardous situations as necessary.
Contribute and build domain knowledge around NS ET products, their clinical use and application.
Documents tradeoffs, rationale, and potential solutions.
Supports Risk Analysis and Hazard Analysis activities for products, features, and implementations as part of the post-market process support.
Participates in pre-market system integration and testing for new product development.
Reviews technical literature and manuals.
Ensure understanding of all applicable quality policy/products.
Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
Must Have: Basic Qualification

Must Have: Desired Qualification
BE or B.Tech. in EE, Biomedical Engineering, System Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60101 and other relevant industry standards.
Strong verbal/written communication and influence management skills.
Proven ability to accomplish critical project level objectives in a team environment.
Proven ability to translate user needs into formal requirements.
Experience in System Engineering discipline or use of system engineering methodologies.
Nice to Have
Experience in capturing system architectures, system designs, or product definitions
Experience capturing and defining product concepts and features for development teams
Experience writing technical documentation
Experience with Requirements Management Software
Experience in design techniques such as use cases, functional analysis, timeline analysis, and sequence diagrams
Experience in mobile app or web-based products design, development, verification, and documentation
Experience working with communications protocol design, definition and documentation
Able to understand and interface with the android software and firmware developers
Experience with development in a regulated industry such as medical device, defense, or automotive.
