Role Description: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Modi Naturals, with its flagship brand “Oleev”, is a disruptive player in the Indian consumer products industry, specializing in premium edible oils. Led by a visionary first-generation entrepreneur, the company has successfully carved out a niche and gained significant market share against both Indian and multinational FMCG giants in a remarkably short period. With unique scale, Modi Naturals is now seeking an ambitious CMO to propel the brand into the next orbit.
As the CMO, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for shaping our brand narratives. Your strategic vision will extend beyond the existing brand portfolio; you’ll chart a course for expansion through new product launches and brand extensions. In addition to traditional marketing and communication, you’ll spearhead our digital marketing and e-commerce initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to leave a lasting legacy—a privilege typically reserved for startups that have achieved substantial scale.
Key Result Areas:
Brand P&L Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Marketing Strategy: Develop data-driven marketing strategies by analyzing economic indicators, tracking supply and demand dynamics, understanding customer needs, and monitoring competitive landscapes.
Market Share Growth: Create and execute marketing plans and programs for each product, driving promotional efforts to expand market share.
Market Insights: Provide short- and long-term market forecasts based on robust market research, data analysis, and trend evaluation.
Product Influence: Shape present and future product offerings by staying ahead of market trends.
Innovation: Explore new applications for existing products through statistical analysis and consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Objectives: Prepare annual budgets, manage expenditures, analyze variances, and take corrective actions.
Team Leadership: Build and nurture a world-class marketing team, providing training and guidance.
Corporate Communication & PR: Manage communication and public relations for the brand portfolio and corporate entity.
Essential Criteria:
· MBA in Marketing from a top-tier business school.
· 10-12 years of marketing experience, including 2-3 years in team leadership roles.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Proven track record of delivery, goal orientation, and effective priority-setting.
· Strong analytical abilities to derive actionable insights from data.
· Experience in digital marketing.
Remuneration: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, benchmarked against industry standards.
