Overview & scope of role:

To do so, the oneit team is currently executing on a strategic roadmap to make significant step changes in it performance and business value from itThe cio office team is responsible for setting the it strategy, defining the it operating model, setting architecture standards, ensuring information security and compliance, managing the project portfolio and leading programs and projectsThe security architect is responsible for designing, building, testing and implementing security systems within morgan it infrastructureThe security architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex it systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products.
Responsibilities:

As part of the security team, you will be responsible for ensuring all change and ongoing development, is secured by design.
Key member of the enterprise architecture board.
Providing technical and security controls leadership for all it projects and prioritising strategic programs.
Recommend security controls and identify solutions that support the business outcomes, working with other architects to advise on all security-related elements for any proposed design.
Security assurance (vulnerabilities) review of security controls and systems before go-live.
Working closely with the security working-group (swg) to articulate cyber-related risks across all functions and recommend acceptable countermeasures.
Conducting regular system tests and ensuring continuous security monitoring of network.
Documentation – policies and procedures associated with security components
Develop a culture of security awareness in conjunction with the security officer, to ensure security policies are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications: qualifications

A degree in information security, computer science or related field is highly desirable.
Possesses or working towards cissp, ms azure security engineer, csa certifications

Experience: at a minimum the candidate should have the experience outlined below:

Minimum of 2 years` experience of architecting security solutions as part of an architecture team in a large organisation
Solid understanding and design of security controls, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, audit logging, intrusion detection/prevention systems and firewalls.
Design and implementation into cloud (azure)
Azure – azure defender, azure security centre
Cloud risk assessment methodology
Security frameworks – nist csf, togaf, sabsa, cobit, iso27001
Siem tools and technologies (sentinel, qradar etc)
Security controls / network experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen.
Excellent project management skills and a proven track record of successful project implementation.
Great stakeholder management, communication, people management and leadership skills.
