Position: HR Head (Corporate division) Experience: 10- 15 years
Department: HR & Administration,Reports to: Managing Director
Developing corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, appraisals, recruitment etc.
o Acting to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
o Overseeing all HR initiatives, systems, processes and policies.
Ø Primary Responsibilities
o Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes. Developing and implementing human resources policies conducive to organizational growth.
o Administer and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition; and training and development. Overseeing the entire spectrum of human resources function.
o Work with the management to create an HR strategy and build an organizational culture that aligns with the company’s objectives. Develop company policies that encourage a healthy work environment.
o Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with regulatory bodies and agencies on a timely basis.
o Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees’ growth and job satisfaction.
o Address employee complaints and resolve them by implementing innovative solutions. Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism.
o Devise a list of procedures and practices for hiring new employees and managing the existing staff. Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment on a timely basis.
o Establish an orientation procedure for onboarding new hires and training them to meet the needs of the company.
o Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action as and when required.
o Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
o Putting in place forward-looking strategies and plans to enable the company to attract, motivate and retain talents.
o Monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with national, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain strict compliance.
o Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale.
o Leading, coaching and inspiring the teams to deliver high quality and timely HR advices to the organization and all teams.
o Ensure that continuous enhancement of HR procedures and policies
o Create strategies that enhance staff development, engagement, and career progression.
o Monitoring HR metrics (e.g., cost-per-hire and turnover rates)
o Discussing the career development paths of employees with Managers
o Carrying regular cultural welfare activities.
Ø Required skills and knowledge
o Bachelor’s degree / Masters Degree / MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar relevant field.
o Proven experience as HR Manager preferable in a retail organisation.
o Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices. Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
o Familiar with the laws, labour market and wage regulations
o Impeccable communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
o Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, appraisal, payroll and other HR functions.
o Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
