Job Description
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.
Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification. 8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to possess strong technical and communication skills and who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs.
Responsibilities:
Align and work closely with the Oracle North America Sales Teams to interact with the customer leadership and understand their business and technology requirements.
Put together a proposal that includes a solution, estimates (of cost and duration), present it to the customer, and get their approvals.
Develop a staffing plan and work with the Practice leads to make sure we have the skills lined up for the project.
Draft a Contract and get it into the Oracle approval process
Transition the deal to the delivery teams
Work remotely most of the times
Work in a shift that has significant overlap time with US East Coast time.
No travel required.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT consulting with 3 years in consulting pre-sales.
Ability to craft and articulate enterprise wide strategic solutions.
In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices.
Knowledge of competitive and partner products, technology and solutions.
Resolve complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions
Advise and influence customers on process direction/technology decisions
Ability to create statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staffing plans.
Demonstrates experience in multiple PaaS technologies and have the ability to architect and design technology solutions that has cross stack impacts.
Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
Must be proficient in at least 3 out of the 5 broad areas of Oracle offerings like Infrastructure, Database, Security, Middleware and Analytics.
Infrastructure:
Experience in provisioning and maintaining environments in any Oracle cloud platform
Experience with Virtual Machine setup and migration
Working knowledge of Docker Containers and Orchestration
Working knowledge of Storage and Networking from a Cloud platform perspective
Security:
Deep understanding of Database Cloud offerings including backups, tuning, Disaster Recovery and security.
Hands on experience in Oracle Identity Cloud Services.
Middleware:
Experience with Cloud Middleware technologies like SOA Cloud Service.
Analytics:
Deep understanding and experience with Cloud Analytics solutions.
Database:
Deep understanding of Database Cloud offerings including backups, tuning, Disaster Recovery and security.
Desired Skills:
Project Management skills
Knowledge on Competitors offerings like AWS, Azure and Google
Experience delivering multiple projects in a Technical leadership role.
